ABOUT
For 10 years+, Steve Hatcher cooked for friends, family, churches and charities on weekends, holidays and vacations. Steve’s “day job” was running a franchise of a national mobile tool company and that left little time to pursue his love of feeding people. Along the way, he developed his signature BBQ Rub - like none you’ve ever had - and perfected pulled pork, ribs, chicken & brisket. In the summer of 2018 while on vacation on the NC coast, Steve and his wife, Catherine, began to dream the dream that became Hatch House BBQ. By the beginning of 2019, Steve had sold his tool truck, closed down his route, received his ServSafe Manager certification and bought a “few” more smokers. With the tool business behind him, Steve now had the time to devote toward fine tuning his menu - first up, creation of his signature Peach Habanero sauce and what he likes to call his own “Smok-a-Fry’d chicken wings. That’s right, smoked then deep fried Chicken wings that can be tossed in a variety of sauces. He now spends his days researching and testing new recipes - some you wouldn’t expect from a “BBQ guy”.

Hatch House BBQ is the dream of pitmaster, Steve Hatcher. Hatch was a "Tool Man" for 10 years, running a franchise of a national mobile tool company. But his real passion was feeding people. While vacationing on the NC coast in the summer of 2018, Hatch made the decision to leave the tool business behind and thus Hatch House BBQ was born. Every BBQ Guy needs a signature sauce and Hatch is no different. With a blend of fresh habaneros & peaches, this sauce hits all the flavor notes - sweet, spicy, tart all in perfect balance. This sauce was created for pulled pork, but it's great on ribs, brisket, smoked chicken, and just about anything.
